Our Mission

Murder Has a Name was created from a simple truth: every crime has an identity, and every victim deserves answers. An unsolved case is not an unsolvable one. It means we must work harder and smarter, using the newest science, technology, and investigative approaches available. Yesterday’s techniques cannot remain the only tools we rely on today. Our foundation exists to push progress forward, bringing modern forensic methods to cases once thought beyond reach and reminding families that hope does not expire.

We are committed to expanding access to advanced forensic DNA technology, investigative resources, and critical case funding so that victims are never forgotten and families are not left without options. Through innovation, advocacy, and action, we work to ensure that every case has the opportunity to be reexamined, every name is honored, and every path to justice is pursued.

Every victim has a name. Every family deserves answers. Every case deserves the chance to be solved.

Making an Impact

How We Are Making a Difference

Every case supported, every answer uncovered, and every family helped represents real progress. Through advanced forensic DNA funding and advocacy, we are working to bring clarity to unresolved cases and ensure that no victim is forgotten.

Advancing Investigations

We help move cases forward by funding modern forensic DNA testing and investigative tools. What was once out of reach is now possible, giving cases new life.

Bringing Families Answers

Behind every case is a family waiting for clarity. Our work helps provide long-awaited answers, offering a sense of resolution and the dignity every loved one deserves.

Driving Change

By sharing knowledge and advocating for advancements in forensic science, we help ensure more cases receive the attention, resources, and urgency they deserve.

Endorsing the Mission: Murder Has a Name

These are voices of experience, not opinion. Individuals who have lived through violence, loss, and the long road toward justice. As survivors, family members, and advocates, they carry the weight of unimaginable loss. Their support reflects the urgency of this mission: justice delayed is justice denied, and every unanswered case still matters.

“As someone who survived unimaginable violence, I understand how important it is for victims and families to get answers. Today, advanced DNA technology gives us the ability to identify predators, hold them accountable, and prevent them from harming others. I strongly support the use of forensic DNA to solve crimes and bring justice to those still waiting.

I also commend the Kaylee Goncalves Foundation, Murder Has a Name, for their dedication to victims and their commitment to finding answers. Their work ensures that no one is forgotten and that every life matters.”

“My heart is especially with Kaylee Goncalves and her family. Their courage in the face of unimaginable loss is something I deeply understand. Tragedy does not end with the loss itself. It continues through the trauma, the unanswered questions, and the long road toward justice. I encourage others to support the efforts being made to honor Kaylee’s life, seek justice, and ensure her story continues to be remembered.”

Tanya Brown

Author, Speaker, and Advocate
Sister of Nicole Brown Simpson

“As a mother who has lived through the unimaginable loss of my sons, Rex and Brody, I understand the lasting weight of unanswered questions and what that means for a family. Through advocacy, including efforts that led to legislation being passed into law, I’ve seen that change is possible, but also how much more still needs to be done. That is why I support The Kaylee Goncalves / Murder Has a Name Foundation. This work is about giving families answers, holding perpetrators accountable, and ensuring no victim is ever forgotten.”

Minde O'Sulivan

Mother of Rex & Brody,
Advocate & Legislative Changemaker

“As the founder of Crime Survivors and a survivor of a violent crime in 2002, I know firsthand the trauma and challenges that follow. That experience led me to use my voice to help others move from victim to survivor.

I proudly support the Murder Has a Name Foundation. Their mission reflects what I believe deeply, that every victim deserves a voice, every family deserves answers, and no case should ever be forgotten.

Through faith, there is hope. And through work like this, there is action, advocacy, and a path forward for those who feel unheard.”
