A Day of Remembrance
Kaylee Jade Dahlia Day
Kaylee Jade Dahlia Day was a meaningful community event created in collaboration with the dahlia community both locally and nationally. The special day honored Kaylee Goncalves through remembrance, connection, and positive impact. Attendees came together to experience the presentation of the Kaylee Jade Dahlia, along with a variety of activities celebrating life, community, and shared purpose.
Event Information
On May 9, the community gathered at Franz Witte Garden Center in Nampa, Idaho, for a day dedicated to honoring Kaylee’s memory. The event welcomed attendees from across the community and featured a silent auction held throughout the day.
Dahlia Presentation
Guests witnessed the official presentation of the Kaylee Jade Dahlia to the Goncalves family, a flower created in Kaylee’s honor and designed to serve as a lasting tribute to her legacy.
Guest Speakers & Activities
The event featured guest speakers, live demonstrations, children’s activities, and opportunities for attendees to connect, reflect, and celebrate together as a community.
Community Experience
Attendees participated in the silent auction, explored the Kaylee Jade Quilt display, enjoyed local food trucks, and shared in a day centered around remembrance, healing, and community support.
A Living Tribute
In a beautiful tribute to Kaylee, Rivers Dahlias named a stunning new bloom “The Kaylee Jade.” With support from the American Dahlia Society, this living legacy ensures her name continues to bloom year after year. A portion of proceeds supports the Kaylee Jade Foundation and our mission to pursue justice and remembrance.
